2016 is on the horizon, and with it comes the opportunity to shake off the previous year's disappointments and the promise of a fresh start. **[About 45%](https://www.statisticbrain.com/new-years-resolution-statistics/)** of us will make New Year's resolutions in anticipation of a clean slate. Unfortunately, the reality is that **[only 8% of us will achieve them](https://www.statisticbrain.com/new-years-resolution-statistics/)**.
There are numerous reasons people don't stick to their goals, but here at Workbox, we are less interested in why people fail to achieve their goals and more interested in how to help people succeed. They say it only takes a spark to get a fire going. We believe it only requires one positive change to multiply positive reactions. You see, when you take the first step and make a change, it creates momentum and leads to another. This principle often refers to a chain reaction, but we like to call it a "change reaction".
## **Make at least one of these changes in 2016 to jumpstart your results in the New Year:**
**Focus on One Goal.** Vow to make one goal at a time and stick to it. You are more likely to succeed by focusing on one easy goal at a time and less likely to get overwhelmed. Remember, just one positive change can make all the difference.
**Celebrate Every Success.** Don't wait until the end of the year to acknowledge your achievements. Celebrate every success, no matter how big or small. Recognizing how far you've come every step of the way will keep you motivated in the long run.
